Spirit Bay Sanctuary is located in the beautiful wilderness of Lanark Highlands in Eastern Ontario, Canada. It’s a very rich and diverse ecosystem where Southern Ontario meets North in special balance, right at the 45th Parallel.

As the young foliage weaves around the majestic monuments of ancient forests, the change of centuries dances here with the seasons, revealing in its special way the Divine Flow expressed in the garden of nature. Symphonic chants of ponds and diverse melodies of bird songs infuse the forests with soul soothing vibrations opening the space for Spirit to rise like spreading wings gracefully soaring through the vast sky above.

We are committed to stewardship and preservation of this environment. All the homesteading and visitor’s activities, as well as any structures, trails and roads, are carefully planned with that intention.

The sanctuary covers over 100 acres of private land, with hours of trails winding through its wild forests, beautiful lake, hills, ponds, streams, rocky ridges and lush grass lands. The quiet lake, provides a peaceful platform for meditative absorptions, scenic views, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, fishing, wildlife watching… Picturesque scenes paint an ever changing photography canvas. Snowy winter months open cross country skiing trails while frozen waters expand the land of snowshoeing and hiking adventures.

Either spending a day or staying for a longer retreat, there are endless ways to enjoy the visit. Visitors are exposed to special frequencies of this place conducive to spiritual practices, meditation, healing and peaceful contemplations to assist the Path.
